During this confinement period, women are encouraged to steer clear of certain daily tasks and certain food. They are also encouraged to increase the intake of certain food ingredients such as ginger, black vinegar, sesame oil and rice wine, etc, which are deemed beneficial for their health.

• 100-200g gula melaka or palm sugar
• 2 tablespoons sesame oil
• 6 hard-boiled eggs
