Restoration Begins After Flooding from Hurricane
The first floor on the Fort Myers Beach house was under at least feet of ocean water from the Hurricane Ian surge. Everything below the water line was a loss including electrical, appliances, and furniture. Our first restoration efforts were really preservation efforts. Our goal was to remove everything that was still wet including drywall and insulation. This would limit potential mold infestation.
There was also fallen drywall and insulation on the second floor that came down from the ceiling. This debris was also removed and inspected for moisture.
There is still much clean-up to be done from Hurricane Ian. It is impressive to see how far things have come already as far as infrastructure. Kudus to all the hard work and effort of all those involved.
