Blasting Cap - "Business in the Front" - The Melting Point 08/09/14

Another social commentary from Blasting Cap's Melting Point show in Athens, Ga. Murray Attaway, Robert Schmid, Phyllis Walls, & Jeff Walls testify to the versatility of a sensible 'do. (Laptop speakers don't do the audio justice - better on headphones or larger systems). Murray and Jeff have been writing and performing together at various times since the '70's, most notably from 1981-1989 in Guadalcanal Diary. Guadalcanal has performed since then (1996-99 & 2011) and Murray and Jeff had a brief project in "Bomber City" ca. 2007. Murray recorded two (released one) "albums" for Geffen Records in the '90's. Blasting Cap performed several songs from that second unreleased recording (which is nothing short of amazing - it features Peter Holsapple, Will Rigby, John Poe, & Don Dixon among others & special performances by Indigo Girls & Mitch Easter). Jeff has continuously occupied himself since 1989 with various musical projects, most notably Hillbilly Frankenstein (along with Phyllis). He's currently producing and performing with the Woggles. No less talented, Robert was the original drummer for the Swimming Pool Q's and is currently their bassist. He also played with Vic Varney in GoVanGo.
