Cattle Battle

The plaintiff claims the defendant’s dogs attacked and killed his two cows and their unborn calves. He shot and killed one of the dogs when he saw the attack on his cows. He is suing for the cost of his two dead cows. The defendant says it’s preposterous to think that her dogs would ever kill the plaintiff’s cows, and that her dogs did nothing wrong. She is countersuing for the cost of her dead dog and estimated profit on three future litters.
