We dive deeper into El Salvador, checking out the city of Ahuachapan via public bus. In Ahuachapan we find a bustling street market, and of course, tons of street food! Do NOT miss the Buñuelos de Yuca soaked in red honey or the Rellenos de Pacaya. We sure notice the heightened security and military presence in El Salvador.

We also dip into hot volcanic springs at the Santa Teresa Termales, just a 30-minute hike off the Route of the Flowers. We also experience some misadventures relating to some geese (not nice birds!) and a questionable mud pool.
