Overcoming the Inner Critic (Negative Self-Talk)
Why is my inner critic so harsh? This video explores how we can overcome our inner critic (negative self talk) using IFS (Internal Family Systems) and mindfulness. This is just a brief intro and practice to get acquainted with and understand our inner critic and what purpose it serves. This is in no way a comprehensive intro to IFS, and I would absolutely recommend checking out more resources like the work of Richard Schwartz and Jay Earley. Continuing to practice mindfulness and non-identification (realizing it's not us) with the inner critic is also highly advised.
