AIR SUPPLY: "His Guitar Was Upside Down" | Russell Hitchcock on Graham Russell's Unusual Technique
Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply hilariously recalls being perplexed by the unique position of the guitar of his fellow bandmate, Graham Russell. Other new Air Supply band members, of course, share his confusion at first.
An excerpt from Air Supply's first-ever acoustic concert, as a part of The Church Studio's Legacy Concert Series! This exclusive performance is part of a series of intimate, unplugged shows in The Church Studio Live Room, performed to a small audience of about 100 people.
Air Supply has released 17 studio albums, nine compilation albums, three live albums, and 27 singles over an incredible 45-year career. The albums Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now and Forever, and The Greatest Hits sold more than 20 million copies. “Lost in Love” was named song of the year in 1980 and along with other singles, sold more than 10 million copies. Air Supply was inducted into the Australian ARIA Hall of Fame in 2013. The Rolling Stone included Air Supply in the top 50 Greatest Australian Artists of All Time in February of 2021.
