A day in Brasov Romania exploring the beautiful old town, the medieval Black Tower and taking a city tour through its history and culture. Brasov truly is one of the hidden gems of Romania and a great place to spend some time on the tourist trail.

With the huge Tampa Mountain overlooking it from one side, and a series of Saxon built towers and bastions on the other, there's lots to see and do before you even get to the old city of Brasov. Once there though it's fun to just walk around the small medieval streets and admire the beautiful buildings and quaint architecture in the Council Square. If I had my time again I'd schedule a slightly longer visit and stay for at least one night, the central square looked like it was just coming alive as I was leaving.
