After multiple rounds of severe thunderstorms, fire crews and PennDot where called out to Route 66 just north of New Bethlehem, PA for a mudslide blocking the south bound lane. Upon arrival crews had to control traffic in frequent cloud to ground lightning and large hail at times. PennDot is working on getting the rowdway cleared with front end loaders.
