Audible hail roar could be heard as a severe thunderstorm approached the western edge of Rapid City, South Dakota. Numerous storms fired over the Black Hills on Wednesday afternoon, providing repeated rounds of torrential rain, wind, and hail. Hail with the pictured storm reached half-dollar size as it progressed through Rapid City.
