In this video I want to answer a question from a woman who shares a common frustration. She can only orgasm with her vibrator, and has difficulty achieving orgasm during actual intercourse.

I want to be absolutely clear that masturbation and exploring your body with a vibrator are both completely healthy. In fact, it's amazing if you're able to find one of your sequences to orgasm using your vibrator.

However, it is very difficult to mimic the intense stimulation of a vibrator during actual intercourse. I see this in both men and women who have "conditioned" their body and mind to respond only to the super intense sensations that can be created during masturbation.

When this happens it can be frustrating because the subtle sensations of sex alone are often times not enough to get to orgasm during intercourse. However, you are in no way broken or ruined as this woman was afraid of when she asked the question.

The key is to take a short break from the intense stimulation of masturbation to allow your body and mind to become more sensitive. Typically within 6-8 weeks you will notice a dramatic difference in your ability to respond to the delicate sensations of intercourse.

This doesn't mean that you can not use your vibrator again. Once you're able to orgasm from intercourse, and you get very familiar with this new sequence to orgasm, then you can slowly reintroduce the vibrator again.

Another positive to taking a short break from your vibrator is that women often report becoming more sensitive to vaginal stimulation. This will allow you to respond more to the sensations of intercourse, and perhaps even experience new types of orgasms from G-Spot and A-Spot stimulation.
