Marking Out for Deep Buttoning - Professional Tips and Tutorial for All Levels

I was asked to put deep buttoning on an older footstool for an upcycle project. Here is how I marked it out and cut the holes using what I have, really to show you that with a little effort, it is easy to give an old footstool a new look. I seem to have missed out on the other way of measuring for fabric, which is to measure the distance from one side to the other including the depth of foam on each side, and then adding 4"/10cm per button. Use the lines with the most buttons to go in, as you will get a much more accurate number.
