Stop-Motion Transformation of Robot Paradise RP-01 Acoustic Wave. A nice clean transformation design from “Fans Toys”. Seems like Fans Toys didn’t want to get any heat for doing such a major character so they released it under the brand “Robot Paradise”. Crazy to think this design started its life as FT-02 - that’s a long time to go to release a figure.

Production Note: Floating that tape required me to use a more advanced technique to erase the support than I usually have to do since the support ended up in front of the boombox. Same story for managing the opening of the boombox since it has a spring that would otherwise pop it open to 100% if not held back. I found one of my flathead screwdrivers was able to do both tasks. So I made sure I had a clean plate of the boombox to use as an erasure plate in Photoshop for each trick shot.

Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
