Stop-Motion Transformation of Star Toys ST-01 “Blitzwing”. Best Blitzwing! Very cartoon accurate. But wouldn’t it be cool if some big brain would make a Blitzwing where the vehicle modes actually looked like the actual vehicles? It’s supposed to be a Mig-25 jet and a Type 74 tank. The quotes on “Blitzwing” are because Star Toys didn’t bother to give it a name.

Production Note: I only discovered the heel spurs during the shoot. That even with me fiddling with it all week and frequently thinking “Boy this thing sure could use some heel spurs.” At least I realized it in time!

Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
