Annihilation (2018) - 10-Minute Movies

What if alien life changed the fundamental elements of our DNA? Could we maintain our humanity? We'll explore these themes in the 2018 cosmic horror film Annihilation. A meteor of unknown origin touches down in a state park, and a strange, shimmering dome begins to expand out from that point slowly, over time. Repeated efforts to send away teams inside to gather information and figure out how to stop it have been unsuccessful. Lena (Natalie Portman), trying to unravel the mystery of her husband Sgt. Kane (Oscar Isaac) strangely returning after going missing on a mission one year prior, gets mixed up in trying to help unravel the secrets of the shimmer. But, as the team she's joined delves deeper toward the source of the disturbance, they come to learn that the strange refraction of light that characterizes the physical appearance of the dome is actually refracting everything within it, not just light. So, the group finds themselves in a race to figure out how these things are happening before they are killed by the mutants around them, or their own DNA is reconfigured so severely that they become unsaveable.
10-Minute Movies is a series that takes a speedy tour of all your favorite horror films with a humorous tone, hoping to cram in all the pieces necessary to explore the movie in approximately ten minutes. Hopefully a good horror story will have more than five to ten minutes of action and suspense. So, if you want to see the best scenes from these horror movies, your best best is to find a copy or locate the films through your favorite streaming service in order to get all the extra context.
