You Might Be Losing Grip on Reality Without Realizing - Relic (2020) - Horror Movie Recap

Can family demons pursue people from generation to generation? In this horror movie recap we'll be taking an exploration of the impact of dementia and the hard decisions that come with it by reviewing the recent film Relic, released in 2020. When Edna goes missing for a few days, her estranged daughter and granddaughter come to keep her house in order as they search for her. She shows back up several days later with no recollection of where she's been, and a creeping rot spreading throughout the house and her body. As they grapple with making the right choice for continued care and shelter given the unusual circumstances, Edna goes back and forth between being confused and angry. Then, when they find an unexplainable interior addition to the house, events begin to escalate, leading toward a thrilling and symbolic ending that you likely wouldn't expect.
