Teach Your Kids About Money!

Please educate your kids about money!

If you won't educate them, trust me, the market will take advantage of them.

Our school system has a huge hole in it when it comes to financial education. So it is our responsibility to fill that gap. Our kids are taught how to build a birdhouse but aren't taught how to save up enough money to buy the tools and material to do so. They are taught how to take home a fake baby and care for it but aren't taught how to pay for diapers, formula, and childcare.

Our youth are graduating with more debt than ever. There are also more and more companies constantly advertising to your kids through social media and technology. We need to try to counteract this the best we can through educating and teaching them to be aware of is.

Do they know what a 401k is? Do they know the importance of an emergency fund? Do they know the true cost of charging those items to their credit card? Ask them.

I hope this video helps motivate you to sit down with your kids and begin educating them about money. You don't need to tell them to worship money, but they do need to understand it. Many of you may not know how yourselves. There are plenty of resources available to you.
