Setting up a Yudu screen is one of the most tedious and time consuming parts of Yudu printing. However there is a solution. Simply use some vinyl with your Cricut machine.
There is a 90% chance that idf you own a Yudu machine from provo craft you also own a Cricut machine. Then rather than go through the entire process and cost of setting up a screen with emulsion you can just use some adhesive vinyl.
This is only good for a limited run of prints, but it's not so bad to invest the time with emulsion if you are making lots of prints. The concept is really simple. You are just using the vinyl in place of the capilarry film.
The only consideration that you really have to make when doing this is that every thing bust be reversed when you cut out your vinyl. This will ensure that the prints work properly. With the vinyl cut you can apply it to the screen and run prints just as you normally would.
The vinyl will break down from the water in the ink much more quickly than the emulsion will so this is only a solution for short runs. But the cost and time savings for small batches actually makes you have some profit potential on small jobs.
