Corsair 750 Watt Power Supply Upgrade

The Corsair TX750W is an awesome power supply that works great with i7 processors. My iBUYPOWER Gamer Extreme 968i PC has some nice components, but the power supply they used was junk. The power supply not only interfered with AM radio throughout the house, it also interfered with my guitar effect pedals. Digital pedals are not as sensitive to rfi, but real effect pedals like Fulltone effect pedals react to radio interference caused by low quality power supplies. Another great feature of the Corsair Power Supply is that computer itself is much, much cooler after the upgrade. It is basically room temperature even at the top when running CPU intensive programs like Cakewalk Sonar and Adobe Premiere Elements. It is a tremendous difference.

If you have never done a PSU upgrade before, don't worry. It is pretty easy. The plugs are all shape coded. It is just a matter of dealing with the excess wires in a clean, efficient manner.
