Avesta CS is a professional-grade insecticide that offers effective control of a wide range of pests, including imported fire ants, mosquitoes, and more, both indoors and outdoors for 21 days. This product contains lambda-cyhalothrin and is formulated as a microencapsulated product. This formulation allows for a delayed release of the active ingredient, resulting in longer-lasting residual control. This pyrethroid quickly eliminates pests without leaving any unpleasant odors, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Avesta CS is a concentrate, so it must be mixed with water before application. Mix and apply this product using a handheld pump sprayer or a backpack sprayer. This product may also be applied to surfaces with a paintbrush or other porous applicator.

Before application, calculate the square footage of your treatment area by multiplying its length and width. Use this and the label directions to determine how much product you’ll use.

For perimeter barrier applications, combine 0.8 fluid ounces of the product with 1 to 5 gallons of water to treat every 1,600 square feet.
When applying to ornamental plants, mix 1.5 to 5 fluid ounces of the product with 100 gallons of water.
For lawns, mix 3.4 to 7 milliliters of the product with 1 gallon of water to cover an area of 1000 square feet or use 10 fluid ounces per acre.
For general spot treatments, mix 0.5 fluid ounces of the product with 1 to 2.5 gallons of water.

Apply the product over the treatment area until it becomes wet but not to the point of runoff. When treating ornamental plants, spray the leaves from both above and below. After broadcasting the product over lawns, lightly water the area with half an inch of water to control pests residing in thatch and subsurface insects. If targeting surface insects, delay watering or mowing for 12 to 24 hours after application. For barrier applications, spray along the outer perimeter of your structure by applying the product 3 feet up the foundation and up to 10 feet outward.

If necessary, reapply the product every 7 days for lawn, turfgrass, and ornamental applications, and every 21 days for perimeter or indoor control.

Avesta CS works by targeting the sodium channel in pests. When an insect makes contact with the solution or with a treated surface, it will become paralyzed and die within 2 to 3 days.
