A34 - Monk's Heath to Congleton - Front View with Rearview Mirror

The A34 is one of the longest A-roads in Britain, running for 200 miles (320km) from Winchester on the south coast to Salford near Manchester, although it is now split into two halves which are joined by the M40 motorway.

At the Monk's Heath crossroads in Nether Alderley, the A34 meets the A537. South of there the A34 is a single carriageway primary route. It passes Capesthorne Hall, which stages many shows and events, and then the small villages of Siddington and Marton before arriving at Congleton, where we meet the A536 at a gyratory junction.
