Turf Pests: A Quick Guide to Crane Fly Larvae

Crane fly larvae are just some of the many turf pests that may cause brown patches, damaged turf, and dead grass in your lawn. To get rid of these, start with an application of Valar Plus Bifenthrin Granules. The labeled application rate for crane fly control is 4.6 pounds of product per 1,000 square feet. Then apply a solution of Supreme I/T and Tekko Pro IGR. To treat crane flies with Supreme IT, apply the labeled rate of 0.33 fluid ounces of concentrate per 1,000 square feet of treatment area. For Tekko Pro, you’ll use two-thirds of a fluid ounce per 1,000 square feet. We recommend you make this application with a hose-end sprayer to apply enough water to drive the Valar Plus granules into the soil.
