Bar Muscle-Up | Aggressive Hips to Bar

If you're struggling with your bar muscle-up, chances are, you're cutting off your hip drive to the bar.

Bar muscle-ups require both patience, and aggression. You've got to drive your hips toward the bar as powerfully as possible, and only at the absolute peak of your ascent, do you transition. Many athletes rush the movement, and try to transition with their hips way below the bar (and end up looking like a wonky pull-up).

The closer the hips to the bar, the easier the transition.
