Greetings everyone! Welcome to a video that has taken me a very long time to put together. Making this video in the midst of "the times we live in" and the extensive effort in writing and playthroughs I've done really set the release back a bit. But alas - here we are.

If you frequent my channel or are into CRPGs you've no doubt heard of Disco Elysium and the wide appraise it has received from critic and fan alike. One key phrase you may hear is "the game is so well written." As always, I intend to delve into the writing and breakdown the narrative components of this game. Through it, I hope we can delve more into this awesome game and have take-away notes on how to improve video game narratives.

*Post-release commentary*
I just wanted to add a few caveats and explain some things I say to avoid being misconstrued.
1. When I say "the detective has become a mythical figure" I do not mean that they are godly or righteous but more used as a tool in stories like a warrior in an Ancient Greek myth.
2. I've being hearing Martinaise pronounced as "Martinay" and it slipped my mind to check the pronounciation. If that's the correct spelling - I apologize.
3. In the wake of the BLM protests I realize that discussing police is a sensitive issue. Please let me make it known I support the protests.
