Simple Qigong Routine to Relax the Shoulders

Here is a really simple qigong routine that you can use to help relax your shoulders and neck.

It is also an excellent short routine to practice in the Springtime because it will help to strengthen the function of the lungs and lung qi.

There are so many different types of qigong exercises, routines, and practices. All of them should make you feel good. Most of us suffer from chronic stress and tension, so in order to maximize our health and vitality we want to relax our bodies, and our minds.

This is a really simple routine that you can practice a few times, then you’ll have it committed to memory! It features the exercise “polishing the table” which is a classic qigong and kungfu movement. Here it is presented for healing and relaxation but it can easily be adapted to give you more of a leg workout.

If you are experiencing shoulder, neck, and back tension try practicing this routine everyday for a couple of weeks. I am sure you can sneak this one into your everyday life – at lunch time, if you are waiting for someone, or even during a commercial.

The nice thing about this qigong routine is that it "teaches" your body to move in a very relaxed way!
