The world’s response to China’s Belt and Road Initiative
On 8 February Bruegel organised an event on the world’s response to China’s Belt and Road Initiative. The event looked at where the initiative is five years on, and discussed the response of the Indo-Pacific, US, Japan, Australia, India and Europe. We also discussed the Europe-Asia Connectivity plan and how China is reacting to the ongoing trade war.
The event featured the presentations of two Bruegel papers: by Uri Dadush and Alicia Garcia-Herrero.
