China's Choice is a recap of China's efforts to open wider its market to the world in 2020. First, hark back to September when the curtain was raised on the China International Fair for Trade in Services - or CIFTIS - in Beijing. It is China's largest exhibition of its kind. Next is Shanghai, China's biggest city, and a global financial hub. In recent years, it took on a new role - the host city of China's annual import expo, also known as CIIE. Shanghai's Pudong skyline is all too familiar with anyone who's heard of China's reform and opening up. From farm rice paddies into glittering skyscrapers, and from a sleepy backwater to a thriving backbone of Shanghai, located east of the Huangpu River, Pudong today is an ambitious brand new district. Wrapping up is a focus on fifteen countries giving a thumbs up to free trade after signing the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement in November. And last month, the 17th China-ASEAN Expo got off the ground with big hopes over regional cooperation.
