To achieve this, the sloped roof of the ADU was designed to mirror the main house's distinctive mid-century modern roofline. Preserving the original 8-foot siding of the garage was a key decision, as it aligned with the mid-century modern look and feel. However, to enhance the visual appeal and introduce natural light, a line of upper windows was added to the design. This not only brightened the interior but also connected the ADU with the outdoor environment. In areas where windows were not desired, matching color stucco was applied, adding depth and texture to the structure.
