The origin of Kuih momo / kuih makmur / kue makmur is somewhat uncertain and believed to be derived from the Middle Eastern ma'amoul that was introduced by Arab merchants throughout the Malay Archipelago. Since then, this cookies has been a part of the traditional kue or kuih of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia (mostly in East Malaysia) and Singapore.

150 g of ghee
225 g of plain flour/all purpose flour
150 g of milk powder
A pinch of salt
Icing sugar for coating

(Preheated Oven 160C: 8-10minutes)
