4 zebras escape on I-90 as neighbors and law enforcement work to wrangle runaway animals

People living in North Bend and law enforcement came together to wrangle runaway zebras, and one zebra was still missing as of Sunday night, according to King County Animal Control.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said four zebras got loose when a driver stopped to secure a trailer on eastbound I-90 near the North Bend exit while heading to Montana Sunday afternoon. Video showed the zebras running in traffic. Drivers hit the brakes and pulled off to the shoulder.

Johnson acknowledged he's never seen anything like this in his 33 years on the job. 🦓
