Typhoon Goni, given the Philippine name Rolly by PAGASA, remains a powerful category 5 super typhoon. Intensification has resumed, and Goni (Rolly) now has maximum winds of 190mph/305kph and a minimum pressure of 878mb according to the latest satellite estimates. Goni (#RollyPH) is near peak intensity, but could remarkably intensify further during the next few hours before making landfall in either Catanduanes or Bicol. All residents of Luzon, Catanduanes, and Bicol should monitor the development of Goni (Rolly) very closely in the coming hours as landfall is set to occur early this morning, and the time for preparations ahead of the super typhoon's landfall is now over.
