Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy Exercises
Proximal hamstring tendinopathy presents as pain on the upper portion of the hamstring which is worse with running, squatting, and lunging. As a tendinopathy, it is considered an overload condition where the loads on the hamstring tendon exceeds what it can tolerate. However because of the anatomy of how the hamstring tendon attaches onto the pelvis, the compression on the hamstring tendon may be a large contributor to the development of tendinopathy. This video demonstrates an exercise progression that can be used for proximal hamstring tendinopathy.

~~Phase 2 - Concentric-Eccentric Contractions~~
Long lever bridges
Straight leg pulldowns
Hip pull thrus
Single leg pulls
Deadlifts
~~Phase 3 - Plyometric Contractions~~
Skipping
Squat jumps
Jumping lunges
