vSS Ice HM Solotank Strategy [Symbolic]

The main concept of this strategy is to have the maintank take everything, the "offtank" wears a DD medium armor build with support sets like hircine and alkosh. This allows you to have the boss debuffed with alkosh without forcing a DD to run it, and it also boosts the group's DPS by about 30k or so (whatever the offtank is able to do, basically).

The "offtank" will still taunt the frost atronachs one by one in the add phase and dispose of them in the lightning runes, but he will never have more than one on him. In the execute phase, he can take more than one and simply kite them around until the boss dies.

Doing this on a nightblade tank feels pretty comfortable, even without guard and with very limited support from my healers. Any class should be able to pull it off with guard and orbs every now and again.

I was using Ebon, Yolnahkriin and Stonekeeper (1pc medium Stonekeeper) with a Charged Yolnahkriin 1h frontbar, and an infused vMA lightning staff with a Shock enchant backbar, for off-balance uptime. One of the healers was running Torug's & Crusher.
