As we continue the series in the long anticipation for the 40th anniversary of Wrestlemania, up next is Wrestlemania 15. It took place on March 28th, 1999 at the First Union Center in Philadelphia infront of 20,276 fans with a $1,437,050 gate. The event brought in a 800,000 pay-per-view buy, finally toppling the record buy that was held at Wrestlemania 5.
The big sell that night was WWF Champion Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson defending his title against Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Also that night we had Mankind, Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, D'Lo Brown, Test, Droz, Godfather, Billy Gunn, Rocco Rock, Johnny Grunge, Animal, Hawk, Scott Taylor, Faarooq, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Brian Christopher, Steve Blackman, Bradshaw, Mideon, 8-Ball, Viscera, Skull, Tiger Ali Singh, Gillberg, Big Boss Man, Blue Meanie, X-Pac, Pete Rose, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Al Snow, Hardcore Holly, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Jarrett, Owen Hart, Chyna, Ivory, Nicole Bass, Tori, Terri, Sable, Jacqueline, the Undertaker, Big Show, Goldust, Ken Shamrock, Val Venis, Bart Gunn, Butterbean, Shane McMahon, Triple H and Kane.
