The Great American Clean Up Trash Bash 2010

Dr. Diana Wehrell-Grabowski documents the efforts of Surfrider Foundation Cocoa Beach Chapter volunteers as they kayak through tributaries of the Banana River Lagoon collecting trash and debris found during The Great American Clean up/ Trash Bash 2010. Bob Day, Environmental Specialist at St. Johns River Water Management District brought out volunteers via the City of Cocoa Beach barge to an island where volunteers removed Australian Pine seedlings, as well as picking up trash found on the island. Tim Chastain, owner/operator of Fin Expeditions http://www.finexpeditions.com an eco-friendly nature-education based kayak tour company based in Cocoa Beach supplied the kayaks and leadership for the Surfrider volunteers.
