Help needed, returning a WWII relic home to the US: Waity

Dear friends.

As most of you know, in the past years we, and some friends, have found relics with names on them, names of their former owners: the soldiers who lost or left behind these objects. These 4 objects were all American mess tins, with the names of their former owners engraved in them. This year we tried to find the relatives of these 4 men, by using YouTube to reach out to you for help. We succeeded in finding the relatives of 2 of these soldiers and we returned the mess tins, to the sons and siblings of the first soldier, and to the widow and grand children of the second soldier. One other search reached a dead end, the other one is still going.

We need your help again, for the 5th mess tin this year...

Information we have so far:

This time we were asked to help finding the relatives of a man by the name of Waity. A mess tin with this name engraved in it, was found in Belgium. After some research it turned out there's one Waity in the Enlistment Records, going by the name of 'W Tten N Waity' (born in 1909). His Army Serial Number is 39023523, and he enlisted in Portland Oregon on December 12, 1942. The man who approached us, believes that Waity may have served in the 106th Division or 333rd Artillery Regiment.
