Help needed, returning a WWII relic home to the US: John T. Gardner

Dear friends, recently we uploaded several videos about mess tins we and some of our friends found. Our goal was to trace the living relatives of the soldiers who once lost these mess tins on the battlefields in Europe, and give them back these artifacts that were lost by their father, husband, brother or grand father. We managed to trace 2 of 3 families we were looking for, and we returned these 2 mess tins to the families in the US. This video is about a 4th mess tin we found. It belonged to J.T. Gardner, who scratched his name on it. The difficulty is, we found many J.T. Gardners in the Enlistment Records. We don't know which records are the right ones. However, we found this mess tin lid just a couple of hundred meters from the location where we found the one that belonged to R.L. Ordean. Ordean was in the 99th Infantry Division. We did some more research on the 99th Infantry Division and we found out
there was a soldier named John T. Gardner, who was awarded the Silver Star for Conspicuous Gallantry in Action During World War II in 1945. This man served in the 99th Infantry Division. So did Ordean, and both mess tin lids were found in the same location. A coincidence? We don't think so. We think this is the man we are looking for. If you can help us find the relatives of this man, we would be very grateful. Hopefully there is a chance to return this man's mess tin lid to his family. Thanks all!
