Epic BNSF EMD Action October 2019

For several consecutive days, the BNSF Staples Sub played host to some unbeleivably good mixes of EMD power.

Though several days were missed, I was able to capture the action of four specific trains on October 27, 28, & 31, 2019.

First up is a Minot-bound mixed freight with two SD40s and a geep for power, the first scene is downtown Elk River, MN, followed up by a favorite spot in Clear Lake.

The next day brought sunshine and an empty coal train with all SD70MACs. In the first clip, the SD70MACs are just a few miles from their origin in Becker, but made an unscheduled stop because of comunication issues with the DPs.

This stop allowed for an unplanned side-by-side shot of the St. Cloud local passing the coal train, during which the MACs were ready to go.

Finally, in Big Lake on Halloween, a train from Grand Forks heads to Minneapolis with a mix of EMDs.
