'Remember Shaq?': Barnaby Joyce lambasts Albanese's Voice launch
Barnaby Joyce says there have only been 12 referendums where the vote for both the majority and every state and territory was 'No' and the Voice to Parliament is one of them.
Mr Joyce joined Sky News to label the Voice referendum as a “hubristic, divisive debacle”.
"Remember at the start, remember Shaquille O’Neal, ‘Shaq’? They started the referendum with an African-American basketball player who advertises for betting agencies,” he told Sky News Australia host Paul Murray.
“Then they went to Coles and Woolworths and the banks supporting them – in a cost-of-living crisis.
“Who do you think people are really affectionate about? It ain’t Coles and Woolworths and the banks.”
