Ethanol A to Z
Ethanol supports consumers, our planet and our rural economies. Every gallon of ethanol used saves consumers money, helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and creates high-paying jobs.
Locally-produced ethanol is a clean burning renewable fuel made from plants (most commonly corn). Nebraska is the second largest ethanol producing state in the U.S. The state is aided by its ample water resources and healthy soils. The industry also thrives in the state due to its proximity and synergistic relationship with the livestock industry.
Learn more about how Nebraska ethanol is made and how the process is becoming increasingly more efficient to produce high quality biofuels.
