Bon Jovi | Live at Count Basie Theatre | Restored Original Concert | Red Bank 1996

On December 19th in 1996, Bon Jovi set foot in the legendary Count Basie Theatre for their 7th (and final) annual Christmas show! For a long time, the fan club VHS has been around with some great footage of this legendary night. However, it only covered about half of the show and had a running order that differed quite a lot from how the show had originally been played. I restored an old forgotten audience audio tape of this for about a week in terms of sound, pitch and speed in order to reconstruct that magical show the way it had been performed. Like it's usually the case with these Red Bank tapes, the audience is crazily lowd and the quality is medium at best. This was no exception and the band sounded quite distant (quite surprising in such a small theatre). The sound wavers from side to side and the balance goes up and down, but I think it at least made its way to the verge of being listenable now. Parallel to this, I restored the Pro Shot material and mixed it in, so only the gaps that weren't on the video are filled with audio. Furthermore, I reworked the order of the video material to fit the original show's running order.
Amazing concert with two songs sung by David and one by Tico and Richie each! I also think that it was a wonderful gesture having Tico close the show!
