[Compact Cine Zoom-type] Tokina AT-X 116 DX II_11-16mm f2.8_Upgrade lens housing

This lens housing upgrade is custom designed for the Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II Nikon F mount lens. However, I think that it is compatible with the previous model with the same specifications and the Canon mount version, as the external appearance of the lenses is almost identical. (I have not been able to test the actual mounting of the upgrade housing on Canon mount and previous model.)

According to Tokina's official announcement material for the Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II,

"The main update to this lens is in the Nikon mount, the AT-X 116 PRO DX II has an internal silent focusing motor to allow the lens to AF on Nikon bodies that do not have an AF drive gear and motor.
There have also been some adjustments made to the coating for slightly improved optical performance.....Other than the optical coating change there are no changes to the Canon mount. The AT-X 116 PRO DX II for Canon uses the same AF motor and AF drive system as the previous model."
The functional benefits are almost negligible compared to simply attaching a simple focus gear to the lens's focus ring and zoom ring, so it is a little embarrassing to call it an upgrade. This lens also uses Tokina's unique push-pull (One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism) operation in the focus ring area to switch between auto focus and manual focus (MF), so the focus ring base housing is designed in two versions: one with AF/MF push-pull switching and one that is MF only. The MF-only version has a focus distance indicator on the side of the housing. (The AF/MF switchable housing does not have a focus distance indicator because the reference point for the distance indicator changes depending on the focus mode.)

"M2.5" x 8mm bolts(3 pcs) are required to secure the housing.

There is a problem with the zoom housing part slipping during zooming. To prevent slipping, attach masking tape once when assembling and assemble the zoom housing part.
