The Bonsai Terrarium

This is a bonsai inspired terrarium build. It is a bonsai look created by attaching Anubias nana plants to a tree shaped driftwood. The tree is placed inside an enclosure on a bed of terrarium soil laid down on a layer of gravel. Epiphytic plants like Anubias can grow very well attached to substrates like driftwood in a closed space. The scene is further scaped with riverstones and moss and a few tiny plants (Fittonia and Pellionia repens) are added as well. A creeping fig was added but removed later. Next the terrarium is thoroughly misted and the excess droplets on the glass wiped clean. Finally a colony of cleaning crew -Springtails is added and the terrarium is closed with the transparent lid.
