En moins de cinq ans, la jeune équipe d’Awake [la marque tricolore présentée par Emmanuel macron au G7 de Biarritz] a réussi un beau parcours, sous le pavillon d’une exigence environnementale sans concession, qui la conduit à présent à un partenariat avec la prestigieuse NASA, l’agence spatiale américaine – excusez du peu. Mission to Earth, c’est une série limitée et numérotée de 250 montres automatiques en titane (matériau recyclé à 70 %) actuellement proposées aux alentours de 990 euros (précommandes en cours sur le site de la marque pour les lecteurs de cette chronique). Sur la masse oscillante qui remonte le mouvement, une inscription « Dare Mighty Things » (« Osez de grandes choses ») qu’on aurait aimé en français, même et surtout dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec la NASA, dont la montre porte les couleurs blanc-rouge [dommage aussi que le mouvement soit japonais, et pas français]. Le bracelet blanc en « biopoly » (composite à base d’huile de ricin) a une confortable souplesse. Un identifiant infalsifiable (technologie NFC) est caché dans le verre saphir : les informations qu’il porte sont sécurisées par une technologie blockchain qui confirme la vocation avnat-gardiste d’Awake.
