Culter Pipe Bands welcome Chieftain to 2024 North of Scotland Pipe Band Championship in Banchory
Culter Pipe Bands march on to welcome the Chieftain, Donald Farquharson, 16th Laird of Finzean, to the 2024 North of Scotland Pipe Band Championship. This was held at King George V Park in Banchory on Sunday 12th May 2024. The band consisted of the combined Culter & District Pipe Band with the 47th Culter Boys Brigade, playing "Green Hills of Tyrol" and "When the Battle's o'er" on the march in and the popular "Scotland the Brave" on the march out.
There was a great turnout of Pipe Bands taking part in this championship, thanks to the efforts of the organisers Banchory District Initiative, in conjunction with the Royal Scottish Pipe band Association - North of Scotland Branch.
