Patron gives Drum Major permission to march Lonach Pipe Band off after 2022 Lonach Highland Games

The Lonach Pipe Band led by Drum Major Neil Jamieson playing "Barren Rocks of Aden" and "Bellabeg House" on the march. Drum Major Jamieson then gets permission to march the band off the Games field from the Patron of the Lonach Highland and Friendly Society, Sir James Forbes of Newe. The band march out of the Games field playing "Pibroch of Donald Dhu", "10th Battalion H.L.I. Crossing the Rhine" and "Cock o’ the North".

This concluded Beating of the Retreat, marking the end of the 2022 Lonach Gathering and Highland Games in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on Saturday 27th August 2022. The band are followed out by the current patron of the Lonach Highland and Friendly Society, Sir James Forbes of Newe, 8th Baronet of Newe and Edinglassie, and marshalling sergeant George Thomson.
