1980: Blists Hill museum, Hay Inclined Plane, Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire

1980.The boys visit Blists Hill Open Air Museum, now known as Blists Hill Victorian Town, past of the Ironbridge Museums sites in Shropshire. Here, we see derelict industrial machinery and buildings, before getting into the town and seeing some Victorian Shops. Along the canal are some replica Shropshire Tub Boats that used to carry goods along the canal. Next, a working steam powered coal pit wheel and cage, a walk along the canal which amazingly still seems to be in water before restoration, and arriving at the top of the Hay Inclined Plane. There are views of many other Victorian buildings around the museum site. During a visit in 2012, I noticed that a huge amount had changed.
