Fenny Compton to the Bottom of the Napton flight

I pick up a crew at Fenny Compton, and after filling up with Diesel at the marina (and ice creams for the freezer) and a shopping trip to the village co-op about a mile away, we move off to get down the Napton flight. There is not too much to see along this stretch of the canal, and soon you find yourself occupied with the Napton flight. At the bottom of the flight is a handy sanitary station, and on the opposite side, the Folly pub, which does have gap in food service between Lunch and dinner, from 2 to 6 I think. After cruising the cut for a few hours, we moored up on the towpath bank and waited for them to open for dinner, staying the night there. A very quiet mooring.
