Step 1: Research
It is very important to start with Facebook Marketplace research. You need to know what items are selling for in your area. In order to do this, simply search the type of furniture you are hoping to flip and save several of them. Watch them over several days to see which ones get marked "sold" and which ones are still for sale. This will give you an idea of the price range you can expect for your furniture.

Step 2: Find An Undervalued Item
In order to find an undervalued piece of flip furniture, you need to check Facebook Marketplace often. We try to find mismarked items or items that are described as "old". Sometimes these items are actually trendy "midcentury" or "rattan" furniture! We also look for furniture with bad photos as these are often overlooked by other people.

Step 3: Clean and Take A Good Photo

Step 4: List Furniture and Communicate Well
It is important to make the transaction as convenient as possible for people. To do this you must be a quick communicator and offer Porch Pickup (PPU) for people. This way they can view the furniture on their own terms and decide if they want to buy it from you. It takes all the pressure out of the transaction.
