Side Hustle #1 - Photography

Photography is a great way to earn extra money with a relatively small investment. There are a ton of resources on Youtube for learning how to use a camera and take a good photo. If you are willing to spend the time to learn how, you can make a lot of extra cash by offering “mini-sessions” to people who want a nice photo for a Christmas card or to put on their mantle. A typical mini-session charge is $75-$100 for 15-20 minutes of shooting. Line 10 of these up back to back and earn $750-$1000 on your Saturday off! Side Hustle #3 - Flipping Amazon Return Pallets

The third side hustle that we are actually going to try for the first time this week is buying an Amazon return pallet in re-selling it. When you return an item from Amazon, Jeff Bezos doesn't have a bunch of little elves back in the factory who repackage it and get it ready to resell again. It ends up getting thrown away, unfortunately. This presents a huge opportunity for resellers. We found a Facebook group online of a guy who somehow gets loads of these pallets and then sells them to resellers. We're going to buy a pallet and see how much profit we can make. We expect at least $500 profit. We aren’t completely sure, but we think this will be an amazing way to make extra money!

Side Hustle #4 - Start a Youtube Channel

We are finding Youtube to be an extremely fun and rewarding side hustle. You don’t need any fancy equipment to get started, you can just use your cell phone to make videos. It’s awesome because you can take something you're passionate about, make videos about it and then earn income from people watching. We were just monetized this month, but we are expecting to make at least $250ish dollars, which is great extra cash! There is also a TON of opportunity to scale this side hustle into a full-time job.

Side Hustle #5 - Freelance Skills/Services

If you are skilled in a specific area, you can offer that skill or service to people on the side for extra money! For example, if you are really good at piano you can offer piano lessons to the neighbor girl down the street. Website development/creation is also a great way to earn extra money. A lot of people don’t have the time/knowledge to create a simple website, but with tools like Squarespace, it’s something that anyone can do. There are some services like lawn mowing that don’t require much skill at all, but people are still willing to pay for them!

If you have a passion for something and are willing to put that work in, you can make pretty much anything work as a side hustle! Give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised with all the extra money you have in your pocket!
